Retreats with Ira
Maharashtra
Govardhan Eco Village, Sahyadri foothills, Maharashtra, India
A quiet return to yourself, close to home.
Just a few hours from the rush of Mumbai, the Sahyadri foothills open into something gentler. Govardhan Eco Village is a working ashram of still lakes, organic farms and quiet temples, where the day is kept by birdsong and the temple bell rather than the clock. This is a retreat for the everyday seeker, the first-timer, the one who simply needs to put the city down for a while.
With Ira, the days unfold slowly and with intention. Classical Hatha asana and pranayama at dawn, meditation by the water, sound healing as the light softens, and satvik vegetarian meals grown in the soil around you. Nothing is rushed and nothing is asked of you beyond your presence. You arrive carrying the week. You leave a little lighter, a little more yourself.
You do not have to travel to the ends of the earth to come home to yourself.

From our travellers
Words from Maharashtra.
I came for a weekend reset and left feeling like I had been away for a month. So close to Mumbai, yet a different world entirely.
It was my very first retreat and Ira made it feel effortless. The silence, the lakes, the simple food, I did not want to go back to the city.
